Large-format facts:
· INCREASING THEATER NUMBERS: The number has doubled in ten years;
Currently 168 large-format theaters in the U.S. attract 100 million viewers
annually; 11 new theaters open in the next 18 months. Worldwide there are 333,
with 38 more theaters scheduled to come on-line in the near future.
· EDUCATION: Approximately 50% are operated by overtly educational
organizations, attracting many tens of millions of families, youth and
students annually.
· SUCCESS: The film, Mysteries of Egypt, directed by Bruce Neibaur, has
generated over $94 million at the box office in five-plus years. It is the
only film in any format to be listed in the “Variety” top 50 grossing films
two years in a row.
· AFTERMARKETS: It is anticipated that “Beyond The Horizon” will
achieve attractive results in DVD and Video sales.
